Steven Spielberg is returning to the world of aliens/UFOs in the trailer for his new film with Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colman Domingo, Eve Hewson and Colin Firth, which has been revealed to be titled Disclosure Day.

The film, described as “a new original event film created and directed by Spielberg,” doesn’t have an extensive description available yet, except the following: “If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? This summer, the truth belongs to seven billion people. We are coming close to … Disclosure Day. ”

What’s seen in the teaser trailer for ‘Disclosure Day’?

As seen in the teaser trailer, Blunt is a weather anchor at a news station who is delivering the forecast, but is disrupted and begins making noises. O’Connor’s character tells an unseen person, seemingly played by Eve Hewson, that “people have a right ot know the truth. It belongs to seven billion people.”

When Hewson asks O’Connor’s character what he’s going to do, he says “full disclosure…to the whole world…all at once.” The teaser trailer is brimming with lots of imagery that seems to be around the themes of the apocalypse, and Domingo tells someone that people are “starved for the truth.” There are also images of deer, which seem to be a part of the themes in the film.

The film is based on a story by Spielberg, and the screenplay is by David Koepp. Producers are Kristie Macosko Krieger and by Spielberg for Amblin Entertainment. Executive producers are Adam Somner and Chris Brigham.

Disclosure Day comes after Spielberg’s most recent film, The Fabelmans, was released in 2022.
